You can volunteer either on-site in Kenya or from home.

Internships in Kenya can be two weeks to six months or longer. Starting the 1st or 15th of each month, placements are in Karen or Eremit Maasai communities in Kajiado 80 km south-west of Nairobi. Positions involve working in these areas (click on field of endeavor for more information):

Many more details are in these Frequently Asked Questions about interning as well as this volunteer information document. Everyone at MANDO gives his or her time and expenses freely. If you are able to, we would ask you to volunteer on the same terms.

You don't need to come to Kenya. You can help from home

  • researching international development agencies and foundations that could provide resources to implement MANDO programs and projects. MANDO seeks to create global partnerships with humanitarian organizations, foundations, educational and business leaders.
  • contacting charitable trusts and philanthropists to raise funds initially via letters of inquiry, making make sure that each proposal meets donor requirements and fits the potential donors' mission
  • when mutual interest is ascertained, working on proposals
  • coordinating a fund drive at your office, school, place of worship, book or social club or organizing a fundraising event
  • simply referring us to someone you know who can help

If this is what you want to do, please email this information:

  • your name
  • telephone number
  • when available and for how long
  • a brief description of relevant skills
  • how you think you can help MANDO
